Effective August 12, 2026, the European Packaging Regulation (PPWR) will take effect. For those who purchase or design packaging, this means new requirements: a conformity assessment, technical documentation for each type of packaging, and proof that your packaging is recyclable and contains no unnecessary empty space. This may seem like a burden, but it is above all an opportunity to make your packaging more efficient.
